For the Penn
Diabetes Center at the University of Pennsylvania, we developed
a site for both internal (intranet) and external (Internet) access.
What is innovative about this site is the fact that it is both end-user
maintainable and reusable. We have enabled end-user maintainability
by creating a unique inline editing mechanism. Instead of site administrators
going to a separate, special area of the site to edit content, editing
is performed within the actual site pages.

to display the PDC website in a separate window.
- Click the hidden hyperlink just above the "P" in "the Penn Diabetes
Center."
- For the user name and password, use "guest" and "guest" respectively.
- As you navigate the site, you can: a) modify items using the
"M" button, b) add items using the "+" button, and c) delete items
by checking the box next to items and then clicking the "X."
